“Armenia refuses to reveal the mass burial sites of Azerbaijanis”

“Armenia shows non-constructiveness and refuses to cooperate in finding the places of mass graves of Azerbaijanis under various pretexts”, said the head of the State Security Service (SSS), Chairman of the State Commission on Captives and Missing, Hostaged Citizens, Ali Naghiyev, while receiving the delegation led by the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Mrs. Pia Kauman, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Qafqazinfo.

Addressing the issue of the disappearance of nearly 4,000 of our citizens as a result of the military aggression and ethnic cleansing policy implemented by Armenia against Azerbaijan, Ali Naghiyev said that although the liberation of our lands from occupation facilitated their search, it was still not possible to clarify the fate of a large number of our compatriots. Armenia, showing non-constructiveness in this direction as well, refuses to cooperate in the field of finding the places of mass graves of Azerbaijanis under various pretexts.

Despite all this, the chairman of the State Commission said that Azerbaijan spares no effort to establish lasting peace and stability in the region, always gives priority to the principles of neighborliness and peaceful coexistence, and provides comprehensive guarantees for the safety of Armenians living in Karabakh, and that it is important to normalize relations with Armenia and sign a peace treaty.
