Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry replied to OSCE Minsk Group
According to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Turan News, on Monday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed its attitude to the statements of the OSCE Minsk Group of May 28 about the six Armenian soldiers taken prisoner on May 27 and calls to start high-level talks to resolve all issues, including the demarcation of the border.
The press service of the Foreign Ministry noted that the captured six Armenian soldiers mined roads.
While Azerbaijan is daily engaged in clearing mines from the liberated territories, the Armenian side refuses to issue the maps of minefields, and even is engaged in mining new territories of Azerbaijan.
The calls of the co-chairs to exchange detainees on the principle of all for all should take into account the reasons for the detention of these persons, the commentary says.
Azerbaijan supports the settlement of border issues through negotiations and supports the calls of the international community to begin demarcation and delimitation of the borders of the two countries.
“Azerbaijan supported the proposal to establish a trilateral commission on demarcation and delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
This process can begin only with the recognition of the territorial integrity and inviolability of internationally recognized borders, which will create conditions for peaceful coexistence.
In turn, the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group can support the implementation of the trilateral statement, creating conditions for peace and development in the region,” the commentary says.
