James Sharp: It Is Great to Hear That Azerbaijan Will Receive AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines

In his latest tweet, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, James Sharp shared his joy over the news about the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines to be delivered to Azerbaijan: ”British scientific and medical experience will save lives in Azerbaijan.” The ambassador also noted that it is gratifying to hear that Azerbaijan will receive 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccines through COVAX.

It was reported earlier, that according to the first interim forecast of the distribution of coronavirus vaccines among the countries participating in the COVAX initiative states that Azerbaijan will receive 506,400 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine.

Under COVAX, Georgia will receive 184,800 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford and 29,250 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech, while Armenia will receive 146,400 doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford.

The process of delivery of vaccines to countries will begin in late February.
