Jeyhun Bayramov at Council of Europe ministerial meeting on solidarity with Ukraine
Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, is attending the 132nd meeting of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Turan News, citing the Foreign Ministry.
In turn, the press service of the Council of Europe reports that the meeting of Foreign Ministers of 46 states is held in Turin “against the background of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine” which resulted in Russia’s expulsion from the organization.
“This is an occasion for the Ministers to demonstrate their support and solidarity with Ukraine and its people. They will also reaffirm their unity around the values of the Council of Europe: peace, democracy, the rule of law and human rights,” the press release said.
Participants of the meeting will hear the annual report of Secretary-General Maria Pejčinović Burić and discuss the organization’s role in conflict resolution in Europe and cooperation with the European Union.
