Minute of Mourning in Memory of Martyrs
Today, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have visited the Alley of Martyrs to pay tribute to the Azerbaijani martyrs, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Trend News.
The head of state laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument, while first lady Mehriban Aliyeva put flowers at the monument.
The state anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
In memory of those killed in the wars for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, at noon, all over the country, citizens honored the fallen soldiers with a minute of silence.
It should be reminded that the death toll in the Second Karabakh War is 2,783 and more than 100 are considered missing.
