
More than 20 million tons of Turkmen oil exported via the BTC pipeline
Last week, the fourth meeting of the energy ministers of the countries participating in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held in Baku, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Turan News.
The videoconference was attended by high-ranking representatives of Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, as well as a number of international organizations.
“Over the past three years, about 20.7 million tons of Turkmen oil and oil products have been transported to the world market via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, as well as 106,000 tons of Kazakh oil last year,” Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the forum.
