Response of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry: Let Iran look for terrorists at home
Baku strongly rejected the accusations of the Iranian Foreign Minister of the alleged presence of “terrorists” on the territory of Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Turan News.
“Unfortunately, the Iranian Foreign Ministry does not abandon the slanderous campaign against Azerbaijan. We categorically reject such accusations. We stated this during the 44-day war, and now we emphasize once again that there were no terrorists in Azerbaijan,” said the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Leyla Abdullayeva, commenting on the accusations of the Iranian Foreign Minister he stated in an interview with the Lebanese TV channel Al-Manar.
Azerbaijan liberated its lands from occupation at the cost of the blood and lives of its martyrs. As President Ilham Aliyev noted, Azerbaijan, which has more than 100,000 military personnel and is in no need of mercenaries, the Azerbaijani diplomat continued.
“Surprisingly, Iran made no accusations of this sort during the war, and there was no reason to worry until the new government came to power after the war,” Abdullayeva said.
She noted that the reason for these unfounded accusations was the suppression of the illegal entry of Iranian trucks into Karabakh.
