Results of the architectural competition “Renewed face of ancient Karabakh” have been summed up
Winners of the architectural competition for the restoration of settlements and villages in the liberated territories have been announced, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Turan News.
According to the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, the competition “Renewed face of Ancient Karabakh” was held with a view of systematic restoration of the liberated territories through the involvement of architects and urban planners.
At this stage, the competition covered 5 villages – Sarydzhaly, Shalva, Goradiz, Boyuk Marjanli and Zar and 1 settlement – Khudaferin.
By the decision of the jury, the winners of 1, 2 and 3 places were selected out of submitted projects for the villages of Saryjaly, the Aghdam region, and Shalva, the Lachin region.
The winners were decided on the villages of Goradiz,the Fizuli region; Boyuk of Marjanli, the Jabrayil region; Khudaferin and Zar, the Kelbajar region.
For the first place, the cash prize was 5,000 manats, the second place-3,000 manats, the third-2,000 manats.
The rest of the participants will receive diplomas.
It has to kept in mind that the projects were evaluated through the analysis of the current state of the settlements, their belonging to the historical context, originality, symbolism, integrity, as well as successful and professional artistic, graphic and architectural solutions.
Note that the winning projects will be taken into consideration when carrying out restoration work in the said villages.
