Secretary of Russian Security Council: Azerbaijan has great economic and financial potential

“Preparations are underway for the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” said Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Nikolai Patrushev during his speech at the marathon of the Russian Society “Znanie” held on the sidelines of the “Russia” exhibition-forum, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac.

“Consistent efforts have been made regarding the regulation of the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Patrushev noted.

Highlighting Azerbaijan’s great economic potential, the secretary of the Russian Security Council added: “Let’s compare the economic potential. The population of Azerbaijan is 10 million, while Armenia, according to their own words, is 3 million. But we know for sure that this is not true, Armenia has a maximum of 2 million people. Azerbaijan has a significant superiority in terms of economic and financial indicators as well.”
