UK Parliamentarian Bob Blackman Expresses His Joy on Shusha Liberation
Bob Blackman, Head of the Azerbaijan All-Party Parliamentary Group in the UK Parliament has expressed his delight on the liberation of Shusha from illegal Armenian occupation: “I was extremely pleased to learn that the city of Shusha has been liberated from Armenian occupation and I congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on this occasion, and particularly the people of Shusha.
“Shusha has under occupation for 28.5 years and has a special place in the history of Azerbaijan. For centuries, Azerbaijanis have lived in and built Shusha, and it is a beacon, not only of Azerbaijan, but the entire South Caucasus.
“Azerbaijan has now undoubtedly proven that Karabakh has always been the land of Azerbaijan. It has proven that the Azerbaijani people have lived in the lands for centuries and that the Armenian population was settled to those lands only 200 years ago, how it was resettled, and for what purpose.”
