Azerbaijan’s Patriotic War martyrs commemorated in Stockholm

The Azerbaijani Embassy in the Kingdom of Sweden, Stockholm, has organized a commemorative event on the occasion of 27 September – Remembrance Day to pay tribute to Azerbaijani martyrs, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting AzerTac.

The event was attended by members of the Azerbaijani community living in Sweden, diaspora representatives and employees of the embassy.

The participants observed a minute of silence to honor the Patriotic War martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The speakers emphasized with regret that the insidious policy of Armenia, which carried out the policy of ethnic cleansing, genocide and aggression against Azerbaijan, had not been properly assessed by the international community. They described the bloody events, destruction of hundreds of Azerbaijani towns and villages committed by Armenians, as well as the fact that hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis have been expelled from their native lands for almost 30 years as unacceptable, calling on the international community not to turn a blind eye to all these injustices.

The event highlighted the 44 days Patriotic War that ended with the glorious Victory of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, emphasizing that Azerbaijan has restored historical justice in Karabakh.

The event participants also praised the bravery and heroism of the Azerbaijani Army in Patriotic War, chanting slogans such as “Martyrs are immortal, Motherland is indivisible,” “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
