Defense Ministry: Armenia continues shelling of Lachin and Kalbajar

The armed forces of Armenia, once again violating the ceasefire agreement on the night of September 13-14 and in the morning, shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the directions of the Kalbajar and Lachin regions from various-caliber mortars and artillery installations, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Turan News, citing the statement of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan released on the morning of September 14.

In these areas, the Azerbaijani side is taking adequate response measures, the press release further notes.

“Currently, Azerbaijani positions are being shelled intermittently. The units of the Azerbaijani army are taking the necessary response measures,” the press release says further.

The Armenian Defense Ministry, in turn, accuses Azerbaijan of shelling its border territories in the indicated directions.
